Defected, and NUVOLVE present a special 24-hour live stream from UK Garage pioneer DJ EZ on 23rd January from 6pm GMT. Streamed from Defecteds  brand new London HQ. We will be raising money for the mental health charity Mind. After being awarded DJ Mag’s Best of British Award for Best Virtual Festival, our endeavour to utilise the power of music to unite people continues into 2021, providing much needed uplift in the wake of a new lockdown in the UK with the help of a UKG kingpin.

A genuine UKG legend, DJ EZ has become renowned for his marathon DJ sets, most recently in March 2020, where he partnered with Boiler Room and MyKindDeed for a 24-hour stream at the start of lockdown in the UK. DJ EZ dedicated the set to those working on the frontline, whilst reinforcing the ‘stay home, save lives’ message. 2020 also saw DJ EZ set up the NUVOLVE record label with long-term friend and manager Paul Marini, keeping the UKG flag flying in a new and exciting way. A musical force of nature for over two decades, DJ EZ’s notoriety as a creative mixer with unparalleled instinct and technical prowess makes him one of the best loved acts in dance, which is also credit to his mission to promote positivity, kindness and humanity.
